dc.description.abstractThis machine is a state of the art bone densitometer. It is the type used for research and is the "GOLD STANDARD" in terms of results and accuracy. It is far more accurate than hand or heel screening machines. In fact, an abnormal hand or heel screening test should always be followed by a test on a bone densitometer such as this one, to confirm or refute the screening test, especially if therapy is being considered.en_US
